MEET: THE SWEETHEART OF POETRY SOUP'S "POETESS EXTRAORDINAIRE'"
Born in Philadelphia, PA. on May 21, 1959 and is a Gemini vegetarian now living in Audubon, New Jersey which is 30 minutes outside of the "Big Apple" New York City.

Graduated high school with top honors for both English, Literature and Math with perfect attendance for entire four years, and took Creative Writing and Advanced English evening classes excelling in poetry and short stories.
Married, upon graduation, at age 17 I was blessed to have four wonderful sons, Edward Albert, Christopher James, Anthony Thomas, and Eric Edward. My sweet Joseph John, another son, was given back to Heaven only 5 months after he was born with a lung illness but is still with all of us in spirit. Divorced after 12 years of marriage, with no regrets, and with beautiful children to make life worthwhile.
**About to embark on a new journey as I recently became engaged to my long time LUV, Ron, and we will be married on the Calabria Coastline of Italy on August 22nd of 2010 **
Entering poetry contests is my forte' and enjoy the challenges of writing and competitions. Poetry Soup has been such a wonderful source of expression to me and allowed me the freedom to share my words with so many other gifted and talented poets.
I have traveled quite a lot within the U.S.A. and lived in 5 States when my ex-husband was in the military. They were: Arkansas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and Ohio..
I was a full time administrative secretary with a fraternal organization for many years and have recently been laid off for the first time in my life. I also have worked in the trucking industry for 10 years as a dispatcher and secretary as well as terminal manager when women were not considered for this position. Also was assistant to an independent trucker and rode the road with him for 3 years and it was a learning experience about the industry and was able to see many places throughout the U.S.A.
I love sports, music, poetry, exercising, shopping, cooking, decorating, speaking at public engagements for my poetry, and anything fun that stirs my intelligence and my creative juices.
** My new project is an organization I began "Love Lines by Linda-Marie" which visits libraries, hospitals, retirement homes and assisted living facilities reading poetry to the children and aged who are ill and have terminal situations in their lives. This has been quite fruitful and instantly puts smiles on otherwise sad faces. **
I am friendly, versatile, artistic, vocal, energetic, quick witted, sassy, love animals, nature, and most of all I am a "beach baby".. love the serenity of the beach, sun, sky, ocean, air, and freedom.. for I am a "free spirit". I have brown green eyes and blond hair and sitting in the sun all Summer has given me a platinum shade as when I was a child.
I am currently working on my first novel, mostly autobiographical, and I also have 3 poetry books in print. They are: "The Joy of Jesus", a book of spiritual poetry, "Children's Charms", a book of children's poetry and "The Delights of David", a book of love poems. Many of them have been posted on The Soup.
These books were recommended to be in libraries and the poems are in many anthologies throughout the World.
I have won many monetary prizes with my poetry, as well as merit certificates for outstanding poems and recognition to date, as well as honorable mentions on the Soup and have had many top ten winners.
So now u have met the Poetess Extraordinaire" and the "Sweetheart" of Poetry Soup.
