Brightest One

This is how I look at the stars: with a heartbeat I look closely, my soul basks in every tiny light that is so far but can set the fire of my emotion, like every inch of my visceral skin is scalded. I look at the stars for that is how I can only have you; the sky is just your whole and every piece of you is a twinkling beauty. I grew up staring at the stars not knowing which one was the brightest until I saw you that all the stars I look at now are the brightest because looking at one is also seeing you. But when the time comes that we'd share the same night sky, we'd be watching these stars and everything will be different. I will not be looking at them anymore for you will steal my eyes and in silence I shall be calling you my brightest one.
