AN ANCIENT SAILOR IN PARIS
Grade Level of Vocabulary
ANCIENT SAILOR IN PARIS ...!
An ancient friend of mine, Wilson
veteran sailor from Mormac Co
landed in Paris once
and when lunch time came,
he and 4 hungry sailors
entered a bistro
which seemed to be simpler than
the "complicated" restaurants
from Paris ... yes because they had
suffered the day before entering
in one of these ... Wilson who
scratched something in french
risked asking:
- Le menu, pouvez vous dire ...!?
The waiter scratched himself a little and
said calmly ...
- Oui, monsieur, pour aujourdui
nous avons: nous avons foi Gras, Coq au vin ...
Escargots, Blanquette de veau, Quiche Lorraine
Nuggets comme aperitif ....
- Arrete, s'arrete ... stop, you can stop ...
come here and called with the hand ...
"Is there any food ...!" ???, and left
for another day of hunger ...
Ps:The question" is there any food here?" it's pertinent because for those hungry sailors what the waiter said was not food ...
