Freedom

Doubt. Fear. Par for a world
of quakes and shakes --
droughts and flakes
upon the mountains
contrarily bring
fountains to the
desert bakes – separation
has bound us together --
the world a reflection
of man's ambient Light --
we abuse such gift of
Might – then blame God
for what is wealth of freedom....

Hi Joe, there is so much depth in this tiny poem. We always entertain doubts and fears and never see the goodness strewn around us. We blame God and remain thankless. "separation has bound us together -- " How true!

this is a deep and thought provoking poem, Joe. I agree: "separation has bound us together --" Nicely penned. Have a splendid evening, Sara

This clever poem of freedom and the choice to have it resonates today with Memorial Day so close. Patriotic and spiritual, I enjoyed it.

So true and wise words delivered in such a poetic manner dear joe. We live in a world where gratitude is so rarely found and seen. I have a special place in my heart for those that are grateful for little things and always are counting their blessings, they receive more and God always gives those that are grateful, but instead whiners whine and blame God. Pleasure reading your work always. Sending you light always

A powerful ode to freedom that makes us tick, Joe. ---separation has bound us together -- the world a reflection of man's ambient Light -- So well said, my friend.

Very true, but people seem to have the habit of not taking ownership, dont they... People should count their blessings around them...
