Clowning around

Sometimes I'm just a clown hanging around
making others happy when I make funny sounds
Jokes they tell at school that often break the rules
Pretending to be something others think as cool

I wonder if she feels me, looking at her back
not looking for violence but some kind of attach
I see her from time to time and just wish for that crime
Meeting her with a smile and the words we both lack

I wonder if she's writes poetry just like me
If she wrote a book. I wish I could see.
She uses the computer and copy machine
I'm tempted to walk over and ask her of such things

Though not as beautiful as she use to be
Her age is just a disguise that's nothing to me
I could still kiss her with passions that won't flee
Or could I be a drone and she a Queen Bee

My shyness shows me things that I will never see
Like while I'm watching her she's looking back at me
I plan a false encounter that will probably never be
And if by chance I meet her, Could I dig to that degree

And find the buried treasure waiting just for me
The many times I've seen her and wished it just to be
I find it just natural for the many lonely I see
I finish writing these words wondering what will be

Will I be refreshing if she would speak to me
Would she be responsive and show a little glee
Would she then ask my why, I never spoke before
because when it comes to women I never know the score

(Writen just sitting here.)

Welcome back, where have you been? Your poem flows and rhymes very well.. You should talk to her...

I was left wondering after I finished your delightful poem. Would she be responsive? Would she ask me why I never spoke before? Often when I reflect on missed opportunities and missed relationships, I too wonder and speculate. You did a wonderful job of conveying some subtle emotions....all while just sitting there :-) enjoy your evening, Sara
