Delphic

The forest is my loyal friend, a Delphic shrine to me- Ralph Waldo Emerson
When fleeting feathers of ostrich ferns swiftly unravel euphonious tunes, I drown in musky memories~ reminiscing the nights, the musical moon in your silent skies, held secluded stars flickering within my hurting heart. For in the midst of crestfallen chrysanthemums, as colours of life fade into forlorn fogs of frozen fairytales, I find wings beneath shadows of my empty existence, waltzing like sullen sunflowers in the velvety wilderness of healing. Sometimes, when acrobatic letters scattered across clusters of cluttered calligraphy reveal timber tales of unspoken truth, I remember how thunder seemed lighter, and heaviness of clouds seemed softer, than the restless ripples ferrying roaring roses, as the soulful forest of fireflies now remain my compassionate confidant. There, loneliness is a forgotten noun, while I subtract expectations~ divide Delphic equations, to multiply contentment with loyalty that lingers~ through symphonies of crooning nightingales, comforting aching wind, swollen, surging with sorrowful sagas. So let me find the topaz mirror to turquoise tranquility~ in the zestful breeze of petrichor peace. I’ve always felt warm arms of nature enveloping me like blissful blankets, embellished with emerald empathy in garnet gracefulness. But if this was the last drop of my bleeding ink, find me in the labyrinth of lavender lawns~ knitting diamond dreamcatchers from abandoned trees, still blossoming with bougainvillea ballads.

"as colours of life fade into forlorn fogs of frozen fairytales, I find wings beneath shadows of my empty existence, waltzing like sullen sunflowers in the velvety wilderness of healing." Oh great! Your poetry leaves me spell bound by its beautiful cadence and alliteration.Starting with usages like "fleeing feathers of ostrich ferns, crest fallen chrysanthemums, turquoise tranquility emerald empathy, cluttered calligraphy to blissful blankets", the poem reflects the beauty of your well chosen alliterations. We are escorted in to a world of nostalgia and finally to a glimpse of hope. Well done dear friend.

Your poem weaves a pattern of emotions with its rich imagery and lyrical language, drawing the reader into a world of nostalgia and introspection. The comparisons of fleeting ferns and musky memories sets the stage for a journey through the poet’s longing and pain, contrasted with moments of solace found in the natural world. The imagery of the moonlit skies and silent forests evokes a sense of melancholy beauty, while the metaphor of waltzing sunflowers in the wilderness of healing speaks to the resilience of the human spirit. Your skilful use of metaphor and symbolism paints a vivid picture of emotional transformation and renewal, as they navigate the complexities of love and loss. Ultimately, the poem offers a glimpse of hope and redemption, finding peace and tranquillity amidst life’s struggles.

Absolutely beautiful- I love "I remember how thunder seemed lighter, and heaviness of clouds seemed softer,"- and "comforting aching wind, swollen, surging with sorrowful sagas." really deep, <3

Dearest Empress, Okay, I must say this is a stunning exploration of peace found in nature and I felt like I was right there. I loved how the imagery is stark - "fleeting feathers of ostrich ferns," "musky memories," "crestfallen chrysanthemums." Empress, you really capture the emotional journey beautifully - "hurting heart," "wings beneath shadows," "lonely forgotten noun." What a powerful testament to the forest's healing power. And the closing line is fully of artistry, "blossoming with bougainvillea ballads," which is a beautiful promise of hope. A BIG FAV!! - Blessings, Daniel

Powerfully in tune with the Delphic theme, Ink. You take the reader on a mystical journey---weaving in the esoteric themes of the prompt in lovely diction as always, my friend.--turquoise tranquility ~in the zestful breeze of petrichor peace--labyrinth of lavender lawns~ knitting diamond dreamcatchers from abandoned trees, still blossoming with bougainvillea ballads. A FAVE!

Ah I missed reading your majestic metaphors dear Ink... "musical moon in your silent skies" loved how you portray nature and poetry blending them together. The stanza where you used those mathematical terms, was superb. Loved reading your poetry as always my friend! :)

Although not a rhyme poem, I loved the fluidity, the cadence and rhythm of your poem. Your alliterations were captivating and beautiful (wind, swollen, surging with sorrowful sagas.) You captured the essence of 'delphic' and what it means to you, each word a brushstroke of eloquence. I'm sure your poem will be a contest winner. Have a pleasant day, hugs, Sara
