Forgiven

Today I realize how much God cares for me.
His mercy and unconditional love I clearly see.
I'm about to start a new chapter in my life.
Letting go of unhappiness and strife.
Grateful for being a mother and a wife.
Starting today I leave the past where it belongs, behind, setting myself free.
When unknown it is the future that will be.
No longer am I in a prison of my own making, it was a deadly mistake.
Here it is, a second chance to start over, what else will it take?
To wake up and dream again, and see what's at stake.
Loneliness is a liar and a cheat.
You can rise again from the ashes, like a phoenix, and not let it defeat.
Its true that its all easier said than done.
But nothing can be fixed once you're already gone.
Don't let fear steal your joy, one day at a time, reflect on what is real.
Take charge and open your heart, forgive and heal.
Sadness and anger are not part of the deal.
Make new memories live in the moment, don't take it for granted.
Realizing that blessings surround you every day, and its all you've ever wanted.
Let God work in you and do what He may.
Even when things don't go your way.
Arise from deep sleep, there's no reason to weep.
Be kind to a stranger, don't go astray.
Your new life is waiting for you, and it begins today.
