Lover

Lover, you ignite fire in my body,
Transcend life within life, creating tremors in my soul.
And as I kiss your honey lips and hold you tight,
you make everything so right.

In euphoric ecstasy,
in the presence of abiding love,
in a tale where words cannot be used to be told,
you allow me to experience that mystery, which you do behold.

And sometimes when I look at you,
when I have a heavy mind,
you create for me
the infinity of time.

Love they say is an affirmation of one's existence, a road to the spirit.
So lying in your arms,
with your heartbeat resonating as one with mine,
you give me love which has been hard to find.

I want you forever
until the end of time
entangled in all the complexities of love
for a glimpse of the divine.

Nice to read you back at The Soup after your two year hiatus George. That's all three of your 'Love Trilogy' poems I've read now and I can happily say they were all divine. :) I can read my own true love for my wife through your words. Love is such a wonderful colour. Cheers - Gary
