Contest Description
Free Verse only. Any theme. No more than 20 lines. There will be up to 10 placements. No prize except the glory of winning.
Science fiction is based on imagined future scientific or technological advances and major social or environmental changes, frequently portraying space or time travel and life on other planets.
NO fantasy which is a genre of speculative fiction involving magical elements, typically set in a fictional universe and usually inspired by mythology or folklore with creatures such as fairies, trolls, ogres, elves, etc.
Please do use poetic devices such as half rhyme/slant rhyme/off rhyme, consonance, assonance, alliteration, etc.

Poems should be in English. Poems translated from other languages are not eligible, unless you wrote both the original poem and the translation.
