Limericks

A scientist said to his mate
“We came from the line of primate!”
Said one of the men,
While waving his pen,
“Refer to yourself, not us, mate.”

An ape heard the scientist say
That men share the same gene as they.
The ape proudly said,
“You’d wish you were dead--
Insult us no more or you’ll pay.”

I can see why the ape was insulted. It reminds of this old song, "the monkey speaks his mind".

Hello Ryan, These limericks sparked a chuckle in me. They playfully dance around the idea of evolution and the relationship between humans and primates. The witty banter between the scientist and the ape adds a humorous twist to a topic that can sometimes be taken too seriously. It's fascinating how a few simple lines can provoke thought while also entertaining. It reminds me of the power of language to convey complex ideas in a light-hearted manner. Amusing verses! - Blessings, Daniel
